Historical Events

This is where all of my favorite Friends historical events are kept! Of course I remember when all of these things happened ON AIR! But i dont want these wonderful moments to just live on in my memories so ive compiled them here! If im missing any PLEASE tell me.

Historical Event #1

"The One with the Pickle Jar"

Season 6 Episode 2

A classic moment! Joey gets his hand stuck in the pickle jar and then they have to AMPUTATE his arm! I already mentioned how brave Matt Leblanc was to let them do that for the show but I sure am glad he did!

Joey wanted to show off his masculinity by opening up a pickle jar that no one else could open! Not even Chandler! Of course Joey opens it no problem but after making a snarky comment about it he digs his hand into the pickle jar to take a pickle and OH NO! He got stuck!

FUN FRIENDS FACT #1!

In an interview after this episode Matt stated
"I was really scared because the whole thing was unscripted! Thats why my acting felt so real! Its not every day you get such a unique acting opportunity and for that I'd like to thank all the cast and crew, Especially David."

Historical Event #2

"The Schwimmer NBC Lawsuit"

Filed on November 10, 1999.

Just 6 days after the airing of Season 6 Episode 6, David Schwimmer filed a defamation lawsuit against NBC. Schwimmer stated "This is a disgusting defamation of my character and I will not stand for it."

Schwimmer lost the case on the grounds of fair use laws. NBC stated "Its just fair use."

Historical Event #3

"The Seinfeld Crossover Episode"

Season 3 Episode 15

I dont remember the plot synopsis for this one but I know it revolved around George trying to get with one of the characters and that causing some sort of drama...

FUN FRIENDS FACT #2!

After this episode aired Jerry Seinfeld fell sick which caused Seinfeld to not get a 10th season.

Historical Event #4

"The One with the Crucifix"

Season 6 Episode 6

Ross crucifies himself in this episode! Its great!! Many consider this the "jump the shark moment" but I think its great! One of my favorite moments from the show!
